You didn't specify what type of food, but, there is a great Italian restaurant called Il Fornaio in the Del Mar Plaza which is located right on Pacific Coast Hwy (101) in Del Mar. Great food and ambiance! Also, if you are going to be in the area on a Friday night, and love seafood, try the Torrianna Grill at the Sheraton at Torrey Pines. They have a tremendous all you can eat seafood buffet, including all the Maine lobster you can eat for about $35 per person. It is out of this world!!!!! Kathie
