There's a place on Broadway called

2010 or 2030 or something like that.

the food is excellent, great salads and sandwiches and pasta dishes and garlic butter with the bread. friendly, but not necessarily inexpensive.

(The name is probably the address).

Mistral's in Redwood Shores is a fantastic little italian restaurant. Great food and service. They're pretty good about serving lunch quick.

Most places on Broadway avenue are good. Recommended are Bangkok Bay (Thai), Dario's (Italian), Amelia's (Mexican). There is also anumber of delies, but I haven't tried them. Also, Franklin Street Caffe in Sequoia Station has a BBQ chicken pizza to die for. Ah! I almost forgot the Peruvian Restaurant on El Camino. DO AVOID chinese food buffets. Happy eating in Redwood City!
