This was an excellent suggestion! I stopped there on the way back from Monterey and got some brisket and pork shoulder to go. When the owner opened the pit to get the brisket, my mouth literally watered from the aroma (and I cannot remember the last time that happened.) He kindly gave me the end piece to eat while he sliced and weighed out my order. Both the brisket and the pork were delicious. BTW, I don't think he's 80. He can't be any older than Willie Nelson.
