I've also heard some good things about Amici's in the Redwood Shores shopping center, but I haven't been there. Any comments?

Pizza in Redwood City?

I think it would be ideal for a group meal, particularly one on short notice. The pizza is reminiscent of NYC style: thin crust, pretty greasy [which is a good thing for this style]. Not much of a wine list, if I recall, but OK. Hal

Not really NY style, if it's the same as the SF Amicis -- the crust is of the "wood fired" style, not nearly gummy enough to be NY, nor the big rim, nor the larger slices. Much more like Lui Lui, if anyone has been there, or like the ones at Olive Garden (although much better than that).
Still quite good, just don't expect anything close to real NY style. For good NY-style pizza, try one of the Village Pizzeria locations in SF; for very mediocre but authenticly like the bad places in NY, try Mr. Pizza Man.
