 I've eaten there twice over the past 15 years or so -- don't get to
 Santa Barbara much.  Both times the food was very good.  The dessert
 with the meringue swan is a work of art.  I can't vouch for their
 current status, however.

 By the way, no trip to SB is complete without a stop at La Superrica.

 The Palace Cafe is as good as ever ! Also, FYI...While La Superrica is
 good, it's essentially a Taco stand (not that there is anything wrong with
 that)
