Owner Tai is a very charming and his food is even more so. We favor the Pho, but everything is great. Phnom Penh house on eighth and Alice is a great place, run by the Do family. Also great food and great company. The lines run out the door at noon. Cheers, Kent H.

There's a beef dish. Hmmm, can't think of the name. Great. >Peony is probably the standard for dim sum lunch. Yes. This is a nice restaurant (in the sense of fancy). Good food too. On the periphery of Chinatown: Le Cheval. Two blocks west. Vietnamese. Pho 84. A few blocks north. Vietnamese.

Somehow I don't find it as rewarding as it was in the old location. The Pho Ga, however, approaches marginally the same dish in Vietnam, where it takes on a whole new meaning. It has to do with the Vietnamese having good chickens and us gringos having rubber chicken, even though at a low price. Le Cheval is toooo Americanized or something. It may be an OK restaurant, but it isn't Vietnamese. Cheers, Kent H ll wrote: > > > Vi's near the SE corner of 8th and Webster is one of our favorite > > Vietnamese restaurants.
