There's only one really good restaurant on Fisherman's Wharf: Demonico's. Continental style. Pricey. I've dropped $150 for two (we did go pretty much full bore, though).

However, you *must* go to La Boheme in Carmel. Table d'hote style, meaning you walk in and they feed you. You get to choose the wine. :-) (Actually, they also have a vegetarian meal, some sort of pasta thing, usually.) Medium priced -- expect to drop about $75 for two with a nice bottle of wine and dessert. La Boheme is more or less at 7th and Dolores (as I've mentioned no doubt too often, there are no street addresses in Carmel-By-The-Sea. It adds to the quaint charm of the place). Stay out of Carmel during the day, though. Crawling with turista.

Fandango in Pacific Grove is also quite good -- about the same range as La Boheme.
