Natalie's is a quaint little restaurant that serves lamb, steak, fresh fish, and pasta dishes. I have had dinner there once or twice each ski season for the past few years. Everything has been fresh and very well prepared. The last time I was there I think I had a nice rack of lamb. It's the best restaurant I've been to in the area. Reservations are a must at most restaurants in Mammoth, especially on the weekends. Try to make reservations at least a day in advance for the weekends.

Natalie's is located on Old Mammoth Rd., about a block past the Von's grocery store and the Wells Fargo bank, on the left side as you're going toward the mountain (west, I think).

If you need the phone number, let me know. I have it at home.

      I've heard great things about Natalie's. It's
California/French. Located on Old Mammoth Road,
      in a mini-mall (isn't everything in Mammoth?).
It's where the Cask n Cleaver used to be, does that
help? It's past the Vons, on the same side of the street,
      closer to the meadow.

For good take-out - there is a place called Nick n Willies
which does uncooked pizza take out. You can cook it back
at the condo with minimal fuss. They have a darn good
selection, fresh ingredients, and good salads. Good beer
      selection too.

The Sho-Gun Japanese place is good.

Whiskey Creek has basic steak, chicken, salads fare.
But they also have a good bar with live music on the
      weekends.

Roget's is now gone, but in it's place is another fancy
place - haven't tried it yet though. I think it's called
Sierra's? Anyone help me out on this?

      Enjoy!

I usually go to the Shogun sushi bar, near the theater on Old Mammoth Road. Ocean Harvest is also good.

Ah, I remembered another fairly good one...

      Berger's Burger's. It's on .... the road
on the way to the slopes. Near Footloose,
      and the Pioneer Market.

They have good burgers, great barbeque sauce,
      great fries.

      Family owned, simple, good food.

      Enjoy,

It's a bit of a drive but worth it for dinner. Also, for breakfast or lunch, there's a cute little place on Old Mammoth Rd. (can"t remember the name) but it's about a mile from the main route through Mammoth on the south side of the street with a Dutch or German-like name (can you tell it's been awhile?). Enjoy!
