Japantown, around 4th to 6th streets south of Hedding have several small family places.

I have one recommandation for Japanese restaurant: Sushi Depot. Sushi Depot is a Japanses seafood buffet restaurant. The inside design is very elegant, and the food is quite good, too. The price is reasonable: $7.95 for lunch, and $15.95 for dinner (including fresh lobsters and crabs).

I have a phone number here: 408-737-7793. If you are in San Jose area, you may try out this place. It is located at Cupertino city.

First, it's in Cupertino, not Cupertino City (no such place). Two other places in Cupertino that you may want to try are Miyake on De Anza Boulevard, near Bollinger where there is a Taco Hell (and just up the street from my house), and or Kiku, which is a little further south on De Anza Boulevard on the other side of the street, across from Nob Hill and McDonalds. There is also your everyday, overpriced Benihana in Vallco, but I hear the service sucks. The only other place that I've been to and was pleased with in the San Jose area (that I remember) is the new restaurant on the spot where Nijo Castle used to be in the Pruneyard (corner of Campbell Ave. and Bascom Ave.), which is in Campbell(damn I hate the end of the f----n lines)... Campbell (there, that's better). Of course, if you want a good Chinese restaurant instead, I'm always putting in a plug for Loon Wah, a small place across from the BP station on De Anza Blvd. in Cupertino. My family has been eating there for years and have always been pleased with our meal.

      Good luck,
            :-Dan
