... So yesterday I decided to try this place out. I was really, really disappointed, to say the least. There was not much of a selection, and not a single dish actually had spices that stood out. It wasn't a matter of being mild versus spicy - the food was just plain bland. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the most disappointing. The service was poor as well - I didn't even get any Nan until I was almost done with my meal (they bring it to you instead of having it at the buffet). I never realized how good I had it when I used to work by all the great restaurants on Castro in Mountain View.

Anyways, the best part of this adventure was less than ten minutes after I left the restaurant, and began throwing up for the rest of the afternoon. (That hasn't happened to me since 1990 when I had food poisoning from undercooked chicken). I don't know if something I ate wasn't cooked properly or what exactly happened, but suffice to say, I will never set foot in that place again.

I'll be yet-another vote for Suraj. I've been going there since one
month after they opened -- it's some of the best indian food I've had in the area.
