Great food

La Folie is a great value. The food's spectacular, but the furnishings and service are relatively modest, so it's not as expensive as other first-rate haute-French places.

The last time I ate at Masa's it was awful. Some of the food was excellent, some not as good as it would have been under the original Masa, but the real problem was the service. They were annoyingly obsequious and intrusive, yet didn't manage to keep our glasses and breadbasket full, bring silverware when needed, etc.
