Mambo was started a few years ago by some waiters from Bamboo Restaurant, also on Venice Blvd. The quality of their food is uneven; we've had a few good meals there, but after the last two dinners, we decided not to return.

In my opinion, the best food in Culver City can be found at Novecento, a small Northern Italian restaurant on Main Street, between Venice and Washington.
