I love the Fish Market in Santa Clara. [fond memories, too] I worked there when it first opened many many years ago. The original Fish Market is on ECR in Palo Alto, then Fred opened one in Santa Clara and Foster City [brain dead. is that the city?... it's on the water by the old Fashion Island, off 92 and 101.] Now, there are Fish Markets in Arizona, by San Diego [Del Mar?], and I think one in San Jose. There's quite a few I noticed listed on the menu. The Fish Market has two privately-owned fishing vessels for local fish, and has fresh fish flown in from as far as New Zealand and Hawaii daily. I was at the Santa Clara Fish Market in April, and my sister and I shared steamed mussles, clams and cockles. Yum yum munch munch. One nice addition to their menu which was new to me was they have now have non-seafood items to make everyone happy. One steak choice, and one chicken choice. Grilled. Oh, they have the cutest fish-shaped cheese pizza for kids, too. The kids menu is new. At least, new to me. I wonder if they have oysters right now, with the oyster scare of Marin Co.? Karen O'

The new one in San Jose is located on Blossom Hill Rd., just east of the Almaden Expressway.... I think the building used to be Pedro's. Highly accessable by light rail.

San Pedro Square is really San Pedro Street between Santa Clara Street and St. John Street in Downtown San Jose.
Shark & Rose is next door to the Tied House Brewery on San Pedro.Spider W. wrote: > I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but the Chez > Sovan restaurant in Campbell has some delicious, moderately- > priced Cambodian seafood dishes. Ah, "The Fatted Cat!" A fine place, indeed. I concur about the quality of their fare, seafood and otherwise. The decor is tasteful, and the service prompt and cheerful. Last but not least, it's situated next to a fine "dive" bar that has Red Hook ESB on draught. Chez Sovan is on the west side of Bascom about a block south of Dry Creek Road. Geoff
