There are good restaurants listed there, but the guide (a list with names, price ranges, and tiny blurbs) doesn't do anything to differentiate the good from the so-so and the sucky -- rather the reverse: the blurbs tend to make every place sound good, and seem at least sometimes to be written by the restaurants themselves. I looked around and found a list of more detailed reviews of breakfast places which praised a real dog (Haute Cakes). And while they list joints like Marie Callender's and Spoons, they leave out some fine places (Chicago Joe's, Cafe Plaka, Clay Oven, McCormick & Schmick's).
