In San Jose the 'Olive Garden' had a good regional menu but it was discontinued and their regular menu is not good except for the generous salad bowl and the hot breadsticks. In San Jose, the best Northern Italian food is at Palermo on South 2nd Street (between San Carlos and San Antonio) I recently had another delicious Italian meal at 'Minetta Tavern' on MacDougal St in New York's Greenwich Village. --Dave
