Several weeks ago, I read in this newsgroup that the former chef of Grand China (in Mtn View) had opened a new restaurant in Palo Alto. It is named something like "Fresh Taste" and is on El Camino between California Ave. and Stanford Ave. I went last week and the food and service were both superb. The place was not crowded at all. I like to see somewhat bigger crowds in good restaurants to insure that they'll still be there next time I want to come back. If you used to frequent Grand China, the manager (owner?) would love to see you again (I went with a former regular); if you never went to Grand China, try the place anyway. The prices are reasonable and the food is good. Dick
