Experiences from Fiesta Del Mar Too

I was recently in Fiesta Del Mar Too, in Mountain
View. This is one of my favourite Mexican restaurants. I've go there quite often. The food is great. However, this time, I really noticed the service.

Two of us arrived together at 7pm. We got a table for three, as we were meeting another friend. We ordered drinks and waited for the last person. Even though the restaurant was very busy, the staff didn't try to pressure us to order. We sat and talked, with our drinks.

The last guy arrive at 7.40. We ordered and ate. We sat and talked again after the meal. Nobody interrupted. When we were ready, the check was brought quickly. It wasn't brought before we asked.

This was one of the few places I've eaten in California where you can enjoy the evening at your own pace. I don't know if this is really representative of the restaurant, but I enjoyed it that night.

Coming from a European background, I found this kind of "service at the customers pace" attitude very refreshing.

Does anyone know of any other restaurants with this kind of relaxed environment?
