I don't understand Michael Bauer's great liking for Baker St. Bistro, which is OK, but not truly special. Meetinghouse and Elan Vital are certainly much better. I haven't been to the others, not getting up to the wine country often, but I'm startled Terra fell off, as his reviews of the place have always been quite favorable. These lists are great fun to look over, but they certainly don't mean much. Other restaurants I esteem more highly than some of those listed are Pastis and Hyde Street Bistro.
