Charley's

I just had a great meal and I had to tell everyone about it. It was at a place called Charley's (chinese food) in Los Altos (State Street). Scott Fischer has recommended it before and our family of five finally went there for dinner.

First of all my husband called to see if young kids are welcome. They said Of Course! and then asked what time we would be coming. We got there at 7:15 (which we said was when we'd get there) and they already had a table set for us complete with three services where the 'rubber-banded' the chop-sticks (for the kids). Charley himself took our order and then brought our toddler (3 yr boy) some chinese spaghetti which he didn't eat (being in his picky stage again) but we did. We had some excellent Moo-Shu Pork, some Prawns in Lobster Sauce, and some Garlic Chicken. Everything was excellent. Charley's wife even come and 'babysat' our 10 month old (Charley also offered to watch him while we ate)!! They made airplanes for the two older kids and had a runway hall they could throw them in (Charley's wife demonstrated to our 3 year old the proper way to throw a paper airplane). Charley and his wife were always checking to see how we were doing and talking to us about the best nights to come in (not on Fridays and Saturdays if you wish to socialize with he and his wife).
