On Chestnut Street, across from the Presidio where we saw "Gone With The Wind" (highly recommended!) in the heart of the now Yuppie-infested Marina.
Although the restaurant features Oaxacan and Yucatec cuisine, none appealed to me this evening so we split a pork burrito and a salmon salad.
The burrito isn't worth talking about except for the fact that it had a more than ample portion of pork.
The salmon salad was attractive and had a reasonable quantity of salmon.
The table had two salsas rojas neither of which was picante. We made them so with the bottled sauce also on the table. After we'd eaten it all, we were served some more, this time a roja and a verde. The verde, also, had to be doctor'd.
The tostaditas were very thin, apparently made from their own tortillas (we were served none). Although they were very nice, they were a bit too salty and oily but not greasy.
We topt off the meal with coffee that was just fine.
Our food arrived surprisingly promptly after placing our order.
Several of the few words of Spanish on the menu were appallingly incorrect. The only people who appeared to be Mexican were in the kitchen. Neither the waitress nor the hostess is Hispanic, the waitress not understanding my order of a "burrito de puerco".
We were ignored as we stood at the door for several minutes. We were further ignored to the point that I got up in search of a spoon and I had to get up again to order a salsa replenishment.
The very nicely figured hostess was wearing a simple bias-cut silk slipdress with spaghetti straps and a V-neck with apparently nothing else but shoes. When she was backlit, m'eyes popt resulting in being accused of being a dirty old man.

The walls are covered with a mural of the type of cactus that yields nopales and hangings of delightful primitive works. Both toilets have purple backgrounds with more painting of the same cactus. Nice. Clean, too.
The noise level was fairly high when we sat down in the half-full restaurant. Later, when it was full, the noise level was so high that we found it difficult to converse.
I paid $26, a very poor value for inadequate quantities of insipid food. The check incorrectly listed our meal as snapper salad, not salmon. Since they're the same price, I said nothing. We shall not return.
