For a thick crust, try BJ's with locations throughout Orange County and Southern L.A. County. The Brea Mall location also has a brewery and I like the Belmont Shore location in Long Beach as well. My all time favorite in L.A. is Casa Bianca on Figueroa in Eagle Rock. It's a thin crust and very tasty. Any of the Domenico's branches also make a good pie...there's one in Arcadia at Santa Anita and Santa Clara just north of Huntington Drive (the old Cask & Cleaver location) and one just down the street in Monrovia (better than the one in Arcadia) at Huntington and Magnolia.
