For my dollar, I find Hometown Buffet provides the arae's best Mac and Cheese- gooey, cheesy, and done just right. The location in Fremont is the best, but Milpitas also does a great job. A close second is Kenny Roger's Roasters in livermore, though they use shells instead of Macaroni. Still, an excellent, rich sauce. Unfortunately, unlike Hometown, you pay for each serving, whereas Hometown is a one price all-you-can-eat. Harry's Hofbrau (both San Leandro and Cupertino) does a pretty good job, but they tend to use a sharp cheese that's a little too sharp for good ol' Mac&Cheese. -MVK
