I came across Martha's Pastries the other day in Sharon Park shopping center, just off Sand Hill in Menlo Park. The croissants were the best I've ever tasted outside of France. In particular they do a delicious, and unusual, gruyere filled croissant, but they tell me these are usually sold out by mid-morning. Does anybody know other good plain and savoury croissant bakery?
