My favorite in Pittsburgh so far...
    Nay-Nay's Rib Joint
On the Green Belt at the bottom of the Robinson Blvd. hill
coming down from the back edge of Penn Hills into Wilkinsburg.
Or, take the Green Belt off Penn (Swissvale Ave) toward Penn Hills.

    Excellent Ribs!
Great cornbread - Excellent Collard Greens & creamy Cole Slaw.
The bonus - Sweet potato pie, IF you're not too stuffed.

It's all carry-out, I think - so be prepared to take them home or to
a park. Beware of the spicy sauce - it'll cook yer lips.

(You don't have to drive out to Siberia for Pittsburgh Ribs...)

New places...
There's also a new guy in Penn Hills on Rodi Road - a place called Mr. Ribbs We tried him a couple weeks ago. A valiant effort - needs a little more time to hit their rhythm. The ribs we had could've been a little more smokier, a little more charcoaled & (only slightly) a little more done.

We'll try them again in a couple weeks to see how they're fairing after the break-in period is over.

Sure thing - Couldn't find it quick on the web -
had to look it up the old-fashioned way - with the (gasp) phone book.

    Nay Nay's Rib Joint
    1697 Laketon Road
    Wilkinsburg
    412-242-0444

Directions:
From Penn Ave in W-burg, coming *from* town,
Turn left at the Rally's (corner of Penn & Swissvale).
    for all you non-Pittsburghers - that's North
for all you natives - that'd be uphill away from the Exxon station,
toward where the old who-knows-what used to be
The road you just turned onto is the Green belt - Follow it at all costs (there's a couple turns) Keep following it until you get to the corner of Robinson Blvd. and Laketon (about 3 lights) Nay-Nay's is on the left, across the intersection -
big neon sign with the phone# - Lots of smoke in the air - can't miss it

Enjoy!
