I just visited a brand new barbecue restaurant in Boston, and found it to be incredible. The Name of the restaurant is B.B. Wolf (as in Big Bad Wolf)B.B.Q. with an attitude. It is located on Brookline Ave, right down the street from Fenway Park. The interior is done in a modern looking road house with liquor neons and pool tables in the bar, which also has a great juke box, and a very comfortable dining room. Every thing is done in red a black, except the barn board around the walls. There is a makeshift fence around all the windows so you can't see out into the street, to bad. I Had The Brisket, which our waitress told us was smoked for 12 to 14 hours. It was tender, moist, and delicious. The Baby back ribs were very tasty, seasoned with the house rub, prior to smoking. All the food seemed fresh, and made from scratch. For appetizers, we had an order of wussy wings, which are chicken wings with the house sauce. We wish we got the hot wings because the house sauce is not spicey but it is very tasty. The restaurant makes and offers five differant sauces, each one very differant from the others, A "Better to Eat you With Sauce" which is a traditional Texas Barbecue Sauce, "The Blow Your House Down BBQ Sauce" Which is a little spicey, but could be spicier, "The Lon Po Po Sauce" Which is a Hoisen Based, asian style sauce, The Salsa Verde, Which seems to be the spiciest of the sauces, and "The Three Little Pig, Little Pig Sauce" Which is a traditional Carolina Pig Sauce. All the sauces are on the table for you to freely try. The Story behind the name of the restaurant is on the wall by the pool tables, where the real story of the three little pigs is told by A. Wolf. The Pigs are not the real hero's of the story, the wolf is, after all, as our waitress asked us, Would you rather eat, or be eaten. This is a very cool place, The service was good, the food was great, and the ambiance just made us want to come back and try one of thier 48 oz. Margaritas.
