Well, the other suggestions were great; the G.A.S. site covers many more restaurants... just wanted to share my favorite, which may match that of some others. I NEVER leave KC without going to the original Arthur Bryant's, the restaurant food columnist Calvin Trillin called the single best restaurant in the world. Many BBQ afficionados call it "Ground Central" as it relates to BBQ. They have a newer version which is located inside the Station Casino, which friends tell me is a bit more upscale... personally, I love the original.... I talk about it in more detail at my subpage... Go in the daytime if you are concerned about personal safety, and you should be OK. Granted, 18th and Brooklyn is probably not one of KC's more upscale neighborhoods-it is not the Plaza, for sure, but the food should be worth it; check for the large photograph of former President Jimmy Carter on their south wall!! And I would suggest you follow my admonition about their sauce... it IS an acquired taste. http://frontpage.sofnet.com/kg0yh/KCJoints.htm Hope it helps, and have a good BBQ expedition to KC!! ___________________ Phil A. wrote: >Well, I'm going to Kansas City... > >and would appreciate Q advice.
