IMNSHO this is possibly _the_ worst example of KC BBQ. I've eaten at various ones 4 or 5 times. Very little smoke flavor in the meat. And the one thing I truly despise in Q, candy sweet sauce. __________________________ Tyler Hopper
Here's a solution for those without enough time to take the free shuttle to Arthur Bryants at Station Casino. Go to the airport KC Masterpiece and ask for some Q but - WITHOUT sauce. Next move is to stroll over to a gift shop (there's a bunch) and get a small bottle of Gates BBQ sauce. NOW, you're in business - the KC Masterpiece stuff ain;t too bad and you're hittin it with some Gates. P.S. Get a BIG bottle of Gates for the trip home. [email removed]

Yep...I gotta agree...KC Masterpiece(ofshit) is absolutely nasty. Easily the worst place in KC. You might as well go to McDonalds and get a McRib.
Amazing Grace's sauce, served at K.C.'s best blues club, the Grand Emporium, is rarely mentioned but it's an excellent sauce with a different tang to it. I also like Hayward's Pit over in Kansas. And if you get to Arthur Bryant's, make sure you set aside at least a half day to visit the nearby Jazz Museum and Negro Baseball League Museum at 18th and Vine.
