BTW, Phoebes @ 21st and South gets my current >vote for pulled pork (which used to go to Audrey's in W. Philly but >closed down.). Also for barbequed BEEF BRISKET !!! Expect an announcement in the next few months - it's just in the planning stage at this point - may all go up in a puff of (hickory) smoke. Don't want to report it until it's a for-sure fact. Until then, I, too, am sticking with Phoebe's for brisket and for their creation - smoked, corned brisket. Great corn bread, too. Happen to prefer Dwights, out on Lancaster Avenue for Ribs. Can also recommend the pulled pork over at Whistler's Pub in Cinnaminson, NJ. Still, there's nothing in Philadlephia to Compare with the Moonlite B-B-Q in Owensboro KY, Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous in Memphis, or Lexington #1, in Lexinton, NC.
