For Houston: try asking in houston.eats or do a search on BBQ in that ng (LOTS of threads about that in the past!!).

My personal faves are Goode Company BBQ and Williams Smokehouse.

I was just going to say Williams Smokehouse. Don't be fooled by the location or the building/decor (or lack thereof).

The BBQ is excellent. The side dishes are average but the chicken and ribs are the best I've ever had.

Goode Co has BBQ duck which I thought was unique.
