Check out Ironworks, on E 1st (Cesar Chavez) right by the Convention center. Great BBQ, great atmosphere.

Best BBQs in Austin are Sam's BBQ-for spicey Southern style BBQ and pork, chicken, lamb, links.
County Line is fancier (Sam's is funky take-out) and more of
a family situation, Texas-style BBQ.
MY FAVORITE is a little drive to Driftwood, TX, to the wonderful
Salt Lick. Very rustic, delicious Family-style place...I live in Seattle, Washington, and when I go to Austin I NEVER miss a trip down to the SaltLick (maybe 20minutes out of town).
