A man in Comfort and a woman in Kerrville both suggested Busby's. Must be something to it. Too late, as our lunch was ruined at Choo-Choo's. HAd to get the owner to find a server to prepare our food. Both servers were very surly; and owner did not respond well to my complaint. Ended up getting thrown out of the restaurant after my credit card slip was shredded in front of me. (I do have a way with people...)She probably did not appreciate my lecture on customer service. She told me point-blank that her trade is local, and she doesn't need tourists. Nuff said. Brisket was very dry, and pork ribs were just bland. So, avoid Choo-Choo's in Kerrville. But, some good news. If you find yourself stranded in Kerrville, go to Big Earl's on TX 16 going south out of town. Great brisket. Very tender, and flavorful. Cooked over "oak". He clammed up at that point. I'd go there again, although Kerrville has a bad case of creeping San Antonio suburb, and I can't imagine going back there. It also has a terminal case of franchise. Asked one local a good place to eat, and he suggested Chili's..... Stephen Taylor Austin TX Stephen Taylor Austin TX
