For a decent meal try the Hideaway. It's in the back of a stripmall just east of the intersection of us 89A and State 179 (north side of 179). Ask to be seated on the deck if the weather permits. It overhangs Oak Creek and is a wonderful place to eat during a thunderstorm!

REQUEST: Sedona, AZ Suggestions
I live in Flagstaff; my family likes the mexican restaurant in Tlaquepaque - El 'something' - slips my old memory chip; all food there is expensive; the Swiss restaurant there looks nice and got good recommendations from friends with bigger wallets than mine; Shagrue's (I think there's 2 locations in Sedona) is very popular too. Have fun! Temps yesterday were 58 degrees here (we should have 28) and in Sedona 73. We've stayed at L'Auberge de Sedona.........just lovely, with a very bucolic view. You have a choice of rooms in the inn or cabins facing the woods & stream. The cabins are quite expensive. If you go to the main road from L'Auberge & head left, about a mile up the road is a shopping center with a marvelous chinese restaurant. I think it's called The Lotus Inn. Carole
If you still need a couple of suggestions, in December we visited Sedona for three days. Best place to eat, "On the Rocks Bar and Grill". It is popular with the locals so make a reservation. In the tourist area, we found "Los Abrigados' very good. steve

I can second L'Auberge de Sedona. We've stayed there & it has our wholehearted recommendation.
In response to information about Sedona...there is this great...I mean delicious French restaurant called Rene's..in a little village called Talaqupache. Also..check out the old copper mining town of Jerome, there are a bunch of shops and a few good southwestern restaurants. Hope this helps! Please excuse the spelling...it may not be too acurate.
