We made a trip from San Diego to Phoenix last weekend and stopped there going both directions. It's halfway between SD and Phoenix. It's a truck stop called "The Copper Miner" at Fortuna Rd. at the 12 mile marker (from the Ca. border). We've always had the specials. It's great food at a terrific price. Of course it's not Mexican or American SW food. Last Sunday night we each had 1/2 baked chicken with dressing, corn on the cob, soup or salad bar all for $5.95. We shared a great slice of homemade banana creme pie $1.65 (Friday we had eaten the Rocky Road pie) and I had a pot of coffee for $.75. It's good down-home American food, quick service, friendly waitresses, and truck-drivers to complete the atmosphere.
