I'm in Delray for a few days, and I just came back from dinner there. Absolutely what was expected from a large, pager-enabled sports bar that also serves Q. It was OK, but I make everything a whole lot bettah. It certainly came as no surprise that Ricky beats them in contests. Last week, I was in Alabama. Mainly to give a talk at U of Alabama (see http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~thc/bbqtour/dreamland.html...they really did invite me so that I could go back to Dreamland!). In Birmingham, do make it a point to check out Miss Myra's. It's the proverbial hole-in-the-wall with no attitude and great Q. We also ate at the original Golden Rule in B'ham, but it couldn't hold a candle to Miss Myra. Had lunch at Mike and Ed's in Tuscaloosa. Decent cubed pork and excellent Brunswick stew. The highlight was the return to Dreamland. The original location, in Tuscaloosa. Still damn good ribs!! --THC ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tom Cormen Voice: (603) 646-2417 Associate Professor Fax: (603) 646-1672 Dept. of Computer Science Email: [email removed] Dartmouth College URL: http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~thc/ 6211 Sudikoff Laboratory Hanover, NH 03755-3510 ------------------------------------------------------------------------
