A skier stands high on a slope, looking down on other skiers and a village set against a line of mountains, a composition that places the viewer in the winter landscape. The poster was issued in Warsaw in 1933 by the Tourism Department of Poland's Ministry of Communications, one of several official efforts in the interwar years to promote domestic travel and winter sports. Its place name is recorded with a question mark, so the exact location is uncertain. The poster's color lithography reflects the mass-printed travel advertising of the period.
