Outfielder Mike Menosky, who played for the Washington Senators, is the person this 1919 glass negative is catalogued under, placing him with the club during a postwar season. The team's home ballpark in that era was Griffith Stadium in Washington, D.C., and the record also lists stadiums as a subject. The National Photo Company, which documented Washington life and sports in the early twentieth century, made the negative, and it came to the Library of Congress as a 1947 gift from Herbert A. French. The place name in the title is noted as unverified, and streaks and blemishes from the aging coating are visible on the glass.
