This large color lithograph from 1917 asks viewers directly, "Are you one of us?", and urges them to contribute to the American Red Cross War Fund. The United States had entered the First World War that April, and the Red Cross was raising money for relief at home and for soldiers and civilians overseas. Posters like this one, with their blunt appeals and bold lettering, were a central tool of wartime fundraising, which relied on mass public giving. The record credits L. N. Britton as the designer, and the poster was later included in the Library of Congress exhibition *American Treasures*, held in 2005 and 2006.
