Children gather around a table dominated by a roast turkey on this holiday postcard, a format that was hugely popular in the early twentieth century. Thanksgiving was still gaining its place as a national holiday in those decades, and printed greetings like this one helped spread its image of family dinner and gratitude across the country. Mass-produced by color lithography, these cards were cheap to mail and often kept as keepsakes.
