The Riverside theater, an RKO house at the corner of West Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street in Milwaukee, is the subject of this 1934 ink drawing, which survives in the Library of Congress's Architectural and Engineering drawings holdings. Drawings like this one were made to record a building's design and construction details, so the line work shows the structure as its architects and draftsmen intended it. The record places it among theaters in Milwaukee during the 1930s, a period when movie palaces were central to urban entertainment and RKO was one of the major studios operating its own chain of houses.
