The title points to the sons of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, the Hohenzollern princes whose public appearances drew steady attention in the American press before 1914. The identification is unverified, though. The Bain News Service wrote titles on its negatives and caption cards from whatever information reached its desk, so the men shown should be read with that caveat in mind. Bain's glass negatives were made for fast newspaper use, and the collection as a whole shows how early twentieth-century news photographs were produced and labeled.
