Titled *I feed you all!*, this colored lithograph bears an imprint naming the American Oleograph Co. of Milwaukee as its maker, dated around 1875. Chromolithographs like this were printed in large runs and sold inexpensively, bringing bright color and sentimental or humorous scenes into American homes and shops. The record notes that the company registered the work for copyright in Washington, which protected it against unauthorized copying. Look closely at the layered inks, which were built up from separate stones to imitate the look of painting.
