Few rooms in Widener Library have a name as plain as this one. A delivery room is a service space where materials typically arrived and were logged before reaching the reading rooms and stacks. The record places it inside Widener, the central library building at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The building was completed in 1915 through a gift from Eleanor Elkins Widener in memory of her son Harry, a Harvard graduate who died in the sinking of the Titanic in 1912.
