Four surnames in the title, Drexel, Latham, Brookins and White, suggest a group of men linked to early aviation, though the record gives no date or setting to confirm it. Hubert Latham, a French pilot known for his Antoinette monoplane, and Walter Brookins, who flew exhibitions for the Wright brothers, were both active on the flying circuit around 1910 and 1911, when airshows drew large crowds. The Bain News Service supplied newspapers with pictures of such figures, so the negative was probably made for quick news use. The title comes from unverified caption data, so treat the identifications as provisional.
