A Child's Angel

"Among the many angels, I chose one for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

"But tell me, here in Heaven, I don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy."

"Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy."

"And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me, if I don't know the language that men talk?"

"Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

"Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"I've heard that on earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?"

"Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

"Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way for you to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from earth could already be heard, and the child in a hurry asked softly:

"Oh God, if I am about to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

Bubbles, bubbles, large and small,
Sailing through the air.
I reach out to catch one
And POP!
It isn't there.

Good Morning to you
Good Morning to you
Good Morning Dear ____
Good Morning to you!

Hundreds of birds in the sky,
Hundreds of fish in the sea,
Hundreds of flowers in the field
But there's only one of me!

I eat apples-
crunch, crunch, crunch
I eat sandwiches-
munch, munch, munch
I eat lollipops-
lick, lick, lick
But I eat ice cream
quick,quick, quick!

I often sit and wish that I
Could be a kite up in the sky,
And ride upon the wind and go
Whichever way I chanced to blow.
Kite Days
A kite, a sky, and a good firm breeze
And acres of ground away from trees.
And one hundred yards of clean, strong string--
O boy, O boy! I call that Spring!

One potato, two potato,
Three potato, four;
I like mashed potato,
May I please have some more?

My Teddy Bear is a faithful friend
You can pick him up and either end
His fur is the color of breakfast toast
And he's always there
When you need him the most!

My teddybear is soft and brown
His heart is warm and good.
No matter if I laugh or frown
I know I'm understood!

I love noodles. Give me oodles.
Make a mound up to the sun.
Noodles are my favorite foodles.
I eat noodles by the ton.

Mix a pancake,
Stir a pancake,
Pop it in the pan;
Fry a pancake,
Toss a pancake,
Catch it if you can!

Trees just stand around all day
and sun themselves and rest.
They never walk or run away
and surely that is best.
For otherwise how would a
squirrel or robin find its nest?

The seeds we plant today
With sun and rain and rest
Will grow to be the shade
That all the land wears best.

School is waiting
Can't be late.
Hurry! Hurry!
Half-past eight.
Out the door
And down the street,
Then softly, quietly,
Take your seat.

Once the stork has made his flight
The flame will glow to celebrate
Baby ____'s arrival date.

This is a gift for you today.
So when I'm born, you'll light my way.
And when that happy day is here,
Burn this candle and spread good cheer
Here's a candle for you to light
Once the stork has made his flight
With the flicker of the flame
Say a prayer in the baby's name
A Special Thank You:
Thank you for attending today although I'm not yet here.
I'm more than a twinkle in my
parents' eyes, and thank you
for thinking of me.
Feel free to 'oh-ah' and 'ah-ha'
and talk of how 'perfect'
I am when I finally appear.
I promise to make you think of
the 'joys of children'
when you visit me after I arrive!
Thank you so very much.
Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

A spoonful of honey
For the rumbly in your tummy!

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God:
"They tell me you are sending me to earth soon, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

"Your angel's name is of no importance, you will call your angel: Mommy"
Thank You From Baby

to help surprise my mother.
Sit down, relax, enjoy yourselves
and chat with one another.
Sorry I can't be with you
to share in Mommy's shower
but you see I'm very busy
cause I'm growing more each hour.
Though I'm not here to thank you
for the special gift you brought
My family and I are grateful...
We appreciate the thought.
I'll be arriving shortly
I'm as happy as can be
So after I've been home awhile
Please come visit me!

Love,
Baby
The Greatest of Gifts

Ten little fingers,
Ten little toes,
The sweetest of smiles
And a cute little nose
All these add up
To a very special thing--
A baby---
The greatest of gifts
That life can bring.
Some Day

Someday I'll jump through puddles,
take a stroll or win a race.
Someday I'll walk across the street,
or maybe walk in space.

Someday I'll scale a mountain,
or go on a concert tour.
Someday I'll walk a tight rope,
or explore the ocean shore.

that only heaven knows...
But for today they're happy just to wiggle all their toes.
