Last summer I posted a note on the Norse Nook in Osseo, WI, a quintessential road food establishment, mentioned in almost any "off the beaten path" guide. Best known for gargantuan meringue pies--the lemon meringue was piled at least a foot and a half high, it's also pretty darned cheap. This is back roads grub worth stopping for. But worth a detour? Well... (Except you'll have to detour a bit off of I something or other, on US 10, to get there. The town is very small.)
