Let's get something started for us common folk. We all love a good
 burger ( at
least we who admit to being carnivores). Come on now, put down the
tofu and the bean sprouts. Let's all reveal our secret passions.
Where do we slither off to when we need that good, greasy, ground
 meat fix.

My favorite burger is found in , of all places, Weirton W.VA.. There
is a piece of gluttonous heaven called Franks Fabulous Foods.
Frank's serve the "World Famous " Frenchburger. It is a lovely
piece of ground meat , smothered in onions and green peppers, with
cheese, and a fiery "secret sauce". Whoa momma, I am in heaven....

Seconded! And don't forget the wonderful ribs on Thursday evenings. For
those who don't know, Tessaro's is on Liberty Ave in Bloomfield.

My vote is for City Grill on W. Carson Street, in the South Side.
 They make an excellent burger.

The restaurant adjacent to Mitchells Bar in North Oakland (which used to be
called "G's: Where the Possessed Go To Mingle" has excellent hamburgers
 (and cheesesteaks).

I also second a vote for the "O". Unquestionably the best burger in the
city, especially if you ask them to put barbecue sauce on it.

The place is called Charlies' now, and the food there is really good. I
especially like their Italian hoagie. The cheesesteakes are good too.
They also have a "barbeque" night on Wednesday nights. Not to be
confused with real barbeque of the South. They have chicken, ribs, etc.
The barbeque chicken is excellent. And the one main thing that keeps
me coming back - $3.50 pitchers of beer!!
