I suppose I would suggest the Hunt Club in the Sorrento Hotel. Nice dark,
quiet, wood paneled place for special occasions. The food is very good as
well but not necessarily the reason for the suggestion.
 Cheers

A good suggestion. I would also suggest the Salish Lodge for roughly the
same reasons but a closer drive if you want to make it a weekend.

If you are just talking dinner here's what I did. Go to one of the best
restaurants in Seattle (Chez Shea, Rovers, Reiners, Campagne) and get
them to prepare the meal for you and deliver it in a suite at the Four
Season's Hotel. Make arrangements with the hotel for give you a suite
for this purpose at a discounted rate. They might just do it again.

Otherwise I would suggest going to Rover's or Relais and seeing if you
can get a private room on a slow night. I know, for example, that
Azalea's Fountain Court in Bellevue has a loft that will hold one table
and afford you with a couch and complete privacy (as restaurants go). If
you choose Azalea's ask for Shelly Kuni and tell her I recommended it.

There have already been several good posts; I'd just like
to mention Il Bistro, as it rates high on lots of folks
"dark, romantic, intimate" list of places.
