Steakhouse answer: Morton's

I have mixed feelings about the Seattle Morton's. I've actually only eaten
at the Seattle Morton's once. I've been to the Portland one several times
and had a wonderful time. The food was incredible - tender,
melt-in-the-mouth steak, great sides, great desserts, etc. The service was
also perfect. It was expensive, but a very nice special evening out. My
experience at the Seattle Morton's wasn't quite as great. The food was
perfect, but the service was less than. We felt somewhat ignored, the
waiter was too casual for the prices we were paying, and we were there late
at night and the servers were yakking and walking through the dining room
ruining the ambience. I'm not saying the servers don't have a right to be
human, but when you are going for an ultimate experience the atmosphere
 makes a big difference.

I will say the bar service was perfect and they had a Key Lime Pie drink
 that was incredibly yummy!

So - in Seattle I'd rather go to Daniel's. Great food, great service,
 beautiful view, and consistency.

       Ditto.
Best NY strip this Iowa boy, with a butcher for a
       best friend, ever ate.
Now for prime rib, I must say that Wichita, of
all places, was the winner. Singing waiters, too?
