The new Il Gambero near First and Blanchard is an Italian restaurant specializing in seafood (as its name implies). We tried their soup of the day and a penne pasta for a light supper the other day, and they were quite good. They also have a nice wine list and a server named David is the person to ask about wine. Tell him I sent you. JBach34765 wrote in article ... > Would appreciate any info on restaurants featuring either of these food > types. We like salmon but prefer milder seafood. Italian food and /or seafood
while I adore Luigi, his restaurant has disappointed a lot of people. For Italian try 1) Il Terrazzo, 2) al Boccalino 3) il Bistro, not necessarily in that order. For seafood, try 1) Etta's, or 2) Shuckers (for oysters); but EVERY restaurant in Seattle serves good seafood.

A recent trip to Il Bistro yielded some of the most outstanding gnocchi ever. Melt-in-your-mouth texture, served with a silky-satiny garlic- infused tomato sauce. Outstanding.
