Casa Garcia (Mexican)
Fresh ingredients, comfortable dining room
1806 South Mildred

Cliff House (Northwest/European)
Considered a Tacoma Landmark but really more in Federal Way. 6300 Marine View Drive

Rebecca's Bistro (Cuban)
I thought it was good but then it's the only Cuban I've ever been to... 11126 Gravelly Lake Drive

Rock Pasta
Awesome pizza oven, pizza definitely above average. 1920 Jefferson

Cafe Indochine
Damn fine Thai. Federal Way again.
31254 Pacific Highway South

Fife City Bar and Grill
American - Not sure how to describe it - down home cooking(?) Try the onion rings very different. Above average.

Bart Ripp, the Tacoma Tribune restaurant reviewer is OK. Weird sense of humor but generally will send you to reasonable places. His column is in the Friday Tribune magazine (Soundlife????).
